As a newly promoted Master in CNCO/SPSM, I am very proud !

As a routine practice, I visited the CNCO/SPSM office for briefing before joining the vessel, Be honest, I am a little bit nervous, as this is my first trip being master, I don’t know what I am going to be asked and what should I do actually. But on seeing each smiling face, kindly greetings, My tension & worry were just gone, debriefing was carrying on under friendly ambience, I received encourage from the bosses, I was told that I could ask for the supports from all of them at anytime and any place., Office staff will be trying their best to provide me a suggestion, solution, positive information and supporting before starting complaint for human error on board. I was really impressive of this briefing for my first command. I told myself I would be successful because I have a very nice, strong & professional supporting team in the office.
In order to improve shipboard safety awareness, the company has put in a lot of human resources and money to establish a proper and continuous on board safety training which is rare to see in the other shipping company: “By sending the senior officers abroad to attend the qualified safety training, then despatch these trainers on board the vessels across the fleet to conduct a safety training to all staff on board”.
The company owns different types of Multipurpose vessels and manned with multi nationalities crew member (Chinese, British, Filipino, Ukrainian & PNG) on board which will give you the invaluable experiences on cargo care & handling knowledge, ship manoeuvring, people handling and management skill etc. Which definitely will benefit to your personal further career either at sea or ashore.
You will be enjoy yourself in the so called “ Pacific Cruise’s live” on board the vessels in CNCO, As they used to call at pacific Island ports: small place, walkable distance to the town, Lovely tropical climate, plus it is very interesting to know the inhabitant about their live, their custom etc. All of these ports are the beautiful resorts really!
