CNCo is known for its close-knit “family” atmosphere. Outside duty hours, an active social scene is encouraged, with a bar, music and videos available in the Officers’ Mess and Crew Room; barbeques are also a popular feature of life on board. All CNCo ships have a gymnasium and games room with darts or table tennis, and some have a swimming pool.

We realise that for shipboard personnel the ability to stay in touch with family and friends around the world is vitally important. That is why we allow free access to ships' email for personal use, and have subscribed to a satellite news service providing daily bulletins on current affairs and sports from China, the Ukraine, the Philippines, UK and the South Pacific region.

Onboard catering is to a high standard, with crewmembers enjoying a full and balanced diet, and special requirements met on request.

Shore-based social events are also popular with ships' crew: the Swire Mariners Association arranges regular reunions and special events, providing the opportunity for crewmembers past and present to get together and socialise.
